By plane

There are two international airports in Berlin, Flughafen Tegel TXL  and  Flughafen Schönefeld SXF which are both served by major European airlines and connected with the Central Railway station Berlin Hauptbahnhof.

If you arrive to the Airport Tegel (TXL), take the Bus TXL   (departs approx. every 10 min, travel time to Berlin Hauptbahnhof 20 to 30 minutes, ticket price “Berlin AB” 2.80 EUR, tickets available from the desks at the bus stop or from the bus driver)

From the Airport Schönefeld (SXF ) the fastest route is by regional train Airport Express   (appr. 30 minutes drive to Berlin Hauptbahnhof, departs every 20-30 min., ticket price “Berlin ABC” 3.40 EUR, tickets are available at the automatic desks in the underground hall of the Airport railway station).

By train

Berlin occupies a hub position in Europe's international rail network. Intercity and international express trains connect the capital with all parts of Germany and with all major cities in Europe. Please visit the home page of the Deutsche Bahn for connections and special rates. Your target is Berlin Hauptbahnhof  (Berlin Central Station) (see above).

The venue (Headquarters of the Leibniz Association , Chausseesstraße 111, near the Natural History Museum) is located in 10 minutes walk distance to the east from  Berlin Hauptbahnhof. You can also take the Tram (M10, M8, M5) from “Berlin Hauptbahnhof” to “Naturkundemuseum(two stops, appr. 4 minutes drive). The Berlin public transportation tickets are valid for 2 hours for any kind of transport and any number of transfers. So, your Bus/Train-Ticket bought at the Airport is valid for any connection tram/bus/underground routes within the city area.
